The parent company of IndiGo, InterGlobe Enterprises, has declared that it plans to launch an all-electric air taxi service in India by 2026.
IndiGo has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Archer Aviation, a business that with electric aircrafts, air taxis, and similar products, in relation to its intentions to run the air taxi service.
According to a release on Thursday, once it takes off, the InterGlobe-Archer flight will transport passengers from Connaught Place in the nation's capital to Gurugram in Haryana in about 7 minutes, compared to 60–90 minutes by road for the 27-kilometer distance.
