According to a statement from his office, he will hold an event at Bina in the state and lay the cornerstone for projects totaling more than Rs.50,700 crore in Madhya Pradesh.
A petrochemical complex at the Bina refinery and ten additional industrial projects spread out over the state are among the projects. Later, he will travel to the adjoining state of Chhattisgarh to dedicate significant train projects valued at over Rs. 6,350 crore.
Rs. 49,000 crore worth refinery will be built
Both states must hold assembly elections in November or December. According to the program's announcement, he would also give one lakh counselling cards for those with sickle cell disease in addition to laying the cornerstone for critical care buildings in nine Chhattisgarh districts.
The new projects in Madhya Pradesh, according to the announcement, will give the state's industrial growth a significant boost.
The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited's cutting-edge Bina refinery, which will be built at an estimated cost of Rs. 49,000 crore, will produce about 1,200 KTPA (Kilo-Tonnes Per Annum) of ethylene and propylene, which are essential components for many industries, including textiles, packaging, and pharmaceuticals.
This will lessen India's reliance on imports and move the nation closer to realising the prime minister's vision of "Aatmanirbhar Bharat," according to the statement.
The mega project would also foster the growth of downstream industries in the petroleum sector and provide employment opportunities.
Projects dedicated to renewable energy
PM Modi will also dedicate 10 projects during the programme, including a manufacturing zone for power and renewable energy in the Narmadapuram district, two IT parks in Indore, a giant industrial park in Ratlam, and six new industrial zones across Madhya Pradesh.
The opening of significant rail sector projects in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, would support Modi's commitment on enhancing connectivity throughout the nation, according to the announcement.
The mega project would also foster the growth of downstream industries in the petroleum sector and provide employment opportunities.
These include the Chhattisgarh East Rail Project Phase-I, the third rail lines from Champa to Jamga and Pendra Road to Anuppur, as well as the MGR (Merry-Go-Round) system that links the Talaipalli Coal Mine and the NTPC Lara Super Thermal Power Station (STPS).
According to the statement, the train projects will stimulate socioeconomic growth by enabling both passenger and freight transportation in the area.
PM Gati Shakti-National Master Plan
The ambitious PM Gati Shakti-National Master Plan for multi-modal connectivity is driving the development of the Chhattisgarh East Rail Project Phase-I, which consists of a 124.8 km rail line from Kharsia to Dharamjaygarh, a spur line to Gare-Pelma, and three feeder lines linking Chhal, Baroud, Durgapur, and other coal mines.
The rail line has electrified broad gauge level crossings and a free section double line with passenger amenities. It was constructed for about 3,055 crore rupees. It would enable the transportation of coal by rail from the Mand-Raigarh coalfields in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.
Modi will also give one lakh sickle cell counselling cards to the screening population in an effort to address health issues brought on by sickle cell illness, particularly among the tribal people. The National Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission (NSAEM), which was introduced by the prime minister in July 2023 at Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, is responsible for distributing sickle cell counselling cards.
