Prime Minister Modi Envisions India as a Developed Nation by 2047

India would be a developed nation by 2047, Prime Minister Narendra Modi predicted during his speech to the nation at the Red Fort's 77th Independence Day celebrations.

The Prime Minister said during his speech from the Red Fort that India would be a developed nation in 2047 when the nation would be commemorating 100 years of independence.

According to PM Modi, he is basing this claim on the country's potential, its resources, and most importantly, the influence of youth. He continued by saying that the following five years represent a "golden opportunity" to fulfill the goal of being a developed country by 2047.

The three sins that have prevented the nation from reaching its full potential were also discussed by PM Modi. Speaking on these three issues, he declared, "I have made it my life's goal to continue battling corruption. Second, the nation has been destroyed by dynasty politics. It has deprived people of their rights. The third evil is appeasement, which has damaged the reputation of the country. Corruption, dynasty politics, and appeasement are three evils that require our utmost combat."

In his speech, Prime Minister Modi also mentioned that the choices made today will have an impact on the nation's future for the next 1000 years.

Because I think the country is once again in a position of potential, I'm bringing up the preceding 1000 years. The course and future of the nation in the next 1000 years would be determined by what we do in this era, the actions we take, and the decisions we make one after the other, Prime Minister Modi remarked.

"Today, we have demographics, democracy, and diversity; these three factors when combined can help a country realize its aspirations. The nation's dreams can be realized thanks to the trinity of demographics, democracy, and diversity, he continued.
