Surat Diamond Bourse: PM Modi inaugurated Surat Diamond Bourse
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Surat today. PM Modi has inaugurated the world's largest corporate office hub 'Surat Diamond Bourse'. 3400 crores have been spent to prepare the world's largest interconnected building. 5 lakh 40 thousand metric tons of iron rods and 5 lakh cubic meters of concrete have been used for the construction of buildings. More than 4500 offices are located in 35.54 acres.
The 67 lakh sq ft construction has offices ranging from 300 sq ft to one lakh sq ft in area. Its total capacity is to accommodate 67 thousand traders, artisans and visitors.
11.25 lakh square feet of elevation glass have been used in the towers. Facilities on the ground floor of the buildings include a bank, restaurant and diamond lab. It also has the facility of a customs clearance house for import-export.
The largest building in the world
Earlier in July, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, reacting to a media report on 'X', said that the Surat Diamond Bourse has overtaken the Pentagon as the world's largest diamond exchange in the last 80 years. There is an office building here. It will serve as a hub for trade, innovation, and collaboration, further boosting our economy and creating employment opportunities.
PM Modi inaugurated the airport
Earlier, PM Modi inspected the airport by inaugurating the new terminal at the airport. In which the officials informed Modi about the facilities. Later the 8 km road-show has started in which the Prime Minister received the greetings of the people.
