Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit: Gautam Adani, applauded India's GDP, noting that it had grown by 185% since 2014
Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, praised India's GDP and per capita income growth since 2014 on Wednesday, calling it an unprecedented achievement given that over the previous ten years, the country had to contend with pandemic and geopolitical wars.
The figures for the last ten years are astounding. In his opening speech at the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar, he stated that India's GDP has increased by 185% since 2014 and that the country's per capita income has significantly increased by 165%.
He described Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarkable vision for Vibrant Gujarat as a magnificent realization. It combines enormous ambition, vast scope, careful administration, and faultless execution—all of which are hallmarks of [Modi]. It set off a national movement in which every state in the union advanced, competing and working together to completely transform India's industrial environment.
Vibrant Summit 2024 is expected to invest more than Rs. 30,000 crore
The summit in 2024 is expected to attract investments above Rs. 30,000 crore. To establish Gujarat as a global leader in trade and manufacturing, Modi organized the conference in 2003 while serving as the state's chief minister. The three-day summit's theme this year is "Gateway to the Future."
One of the summit's main attractions this year is expected to be the presence of UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It is anticipated to improve investment and commercial relations if the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement is signed in February 2022.
Gautam Adani appreciated PM Modi's accomplishments
Adani described the Prime Minister's accomplishments abroad as equally noteworthy. "You have transformed us from a nation that was looking for a voice on international platforms to one that is now creating such platforms.".
“You set the standard for a more inclusive global order with the Solar Alliance platform, an initiative you created, and your leadership at the G20 platform. One of the turning points in modern history is the inclusion of the Global South in the G20”.
He went on to say that the prime minister shapes the future rather than just predicts it.
He said that, with the help of PM Modi's reorientation, India is now the fastest-growing country in the world and is recognized as a global social champion thanks to the twin ideologies of Vasudeva Kutumbakam and Vishwa Guru.
Gautam Adani said, "The best is yet to come".....
"The best is yet to come," Adani stated. He said that PM Modi has shown vision and ensured that the India of today is prepared to impact the global future of tomorrow by using the country's young to build a Vikshit Bharat [Developed India] and make the country a fully developed nation by 2047.
He stated that he committed to investing more than Rs. 55,000 crore by 2025 at the previous summit. "We have significantly surpassed our target of 25,000 direct and indirect jobs and have already exceeded Rs. 50,000 crore across the various sectors I had promised." He continued, saying that at Khavda, they are building the biggest green energy park in the world, which would produce 30 GW of renewable energy over 725 square kilometers and be visible from space.
