A yug has ended today

The Ratan Tata, a veteran businessman of the country and the world, died in a hospital in Mumbai. He was admitted to the hospital for the last few days. Ratan Tata has left behind a huge legacy. According to a study, the total wealth of the Tata Group is about US $ 165 billion. After the death of Ratan Tata, now the discussion is about who will take over his legacy after Ratan Tata's death.

Now who will be Tata group head?

All though in this situation, a president will be elected from one of his trusts. Tata Group has two main trusts - Sir Dorabji Trust Trust and Sir Ratan Tata Trust. The two trusts together hold about 52 per cent stake in Tata Group's parent company Tata Sons. Tata Group's parent company Tata Sons operates Tata Trusts. The group supports portfolios ranging from orchards to final CC. There are a total of 13 trusts in both the trusts. People in these trusts include former Defense Secretary Vijay Singh, Automotive sector veteran Venu Srinivasan, Ratan Tata's half-brother and Trent's remnant Noel Tata.

Other people in these trusts include former CEO of Citi India Parmeet Jhaveri Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and Ratan Tata's younger brother Jimmy Tata and CEO of Jahangir Hospital Jahangir BCH Jahangir Sir Ratan Tata Trust.

Who will choose loyal trustees of these trusts?

Meanwhile the heads of the trusts are elected on the basis of majority from among the trusts. Vijay Singh and Venu Srinivas are the vice-presidents of both these trusts. But the chances of any one of them being selected as the head are less specified. The person who is likely to be made the head of the trust is 67-year-old Noel Tata. The Parsi community will also be happy with Noel's institution.

However, Ratan Tata was a Parsi. This will also ensure that a Parsi leads this organization. This trust donated more than Rs 470 crore in FY 2023 which is a historic recognition for the Parsis. However, no one's name was known and there was no direct connection with the founding family of their trust.

Tata Group for more than four decades

In the while if Noel Tata is elected as the head of these trusts, he will become the 11th chairman of the Sir Dorabi Trust Trust and the sixth chairman of the Sir Ratan Tata Trust. Noel has been associated with the Tata Group for more than four decades. He is on the boards of six major companies including Vought Trent, Titan and Tata Steel. He was appointed a trustee of the Sir Ratan Tata Trust in 2019.

Who is Noel Tata

Though Noel Tata was included, in the board of Sir Dorabji Trust in 2022. After the Tata deal was completed, it was believed that he would take over the position of the chairman of Tata Sons. But Noel's brother Cyrus Mistry was beaten to it. After the departure of Cyrus Mistry from Tata Sons, the chairman of Tata Sons was taken over by TTCR CEO N. Chandrasekaran. Both of them maintained a distance between themselves.

 In the last days, Mittal had become very friendly with his stepbrother Ratan Tata.
