Budget session 2025: The budget session will begin today with the address of President Draupadi Murmu. While the Union Budget will be presented on 1 of February 2025. There will be no proceedings of Parliament due to the assembly elections to be held in Delhi on February 5. The government has prepared a list of 16 bills for the budget session.
The budget session will begin today with the President's address. The President will reach Parliament House on a traditional buggy to address the Parliament. Her address will be at 11 am. After this the Economic Survey will be presented. There will be no proceedings of Parliament due to the assembly elections to be held in Delhi on February 5.

The government has prepared a list of 16 bills for the budget session, which includes many important bills related to financial matters including the Waqf Amendment Bill, Immigration and Foreigners Bill. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Economic Review of 2024-25 on Friday. The review has been prepared by a team led by Chief Economic Advisor V Anantha Nageshwaran.
FM Nirmala Sitharaman will present the second budget
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the second budget of the third term of the Narendra Modi government on Saturday. The budget session will begin on Friday with President Draupadi Murmu addressing a joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The first part of the session will end on February 13 and the second part will begin on March 10 and the session will end on April 4.

All-party meeting before the budget session
The issue of Kumbh dominated the all-party meeting before the budget session. The opposition accused of political tourism and VVIP arrangements. The opposition demanded a discussion in Parliament on the Kumbh accident and accused of not disclosing the number of dead. Apart from this, opposition MPs raised questions on the way the JPC formed on Waqf works.
