Economic Survey 2025: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Economic Survey 2024-25 in the Lok Sabha. In this survey, India's GDP growth rate for FY26 is estimated to be between 6.3% to 6.8%. GST collection is estimated to increase by 11 percent, which can reach Rs 10.62 lakh crore. This survey underlines the government's efforts towards policy reforms and economic stability.

According to the survey, GST collection is also expected to increase significantly. GST collection for 2024-25 is expected to grow 11% to Rs 10.62 lakh crore. However, revenue growth has seen a slowdown in the last three months, due to which special focus is being placed on the estimates for FY26. The government has taken several important steps to overcome policy stagnation and speed up economic reforms.

Due to various initiatives and monetary policy measures of the government, retail inflation in India has come down from 5.4 percent in the financial year 2024 to 4.9 percent in the financial year 2025 (April to December).
