Which changes can be made without uploading documents?

This facility is available only if your UAN (Universal Account Number) was activated before October 1, 2017, and is Aadhaar verified. If these conditions are met, you can change your name, citizenship, parents' names, marital status, date of joining, and date of leaving without uploading any documents. If the UAN was activated before October 1, 2017, changes can only be made after the Joint Declaration is approved by the employer.

Can citizenship be changed?

According to the new EPFO rules, changes to citizenship can only be made in two cases. First, when the citizenship column is blank and you want to change it to Indian. Second, when you want to change from Indian to international citizenship.

What if the UAN is not linked to Aadhaar or there is no UAN?

In this situation, you will have to fill out the physical Joint Declaration form and submit it to your employer. The employer will upload it from their EPFO account and send it to EPFO. After this, the documents will reach the EPFO office.
