All-New Material 3 UI
The latest OxygenOS will feature the Material 3 Expressive UI, offering a more fluid and natural interface. Users can expect smoother app transitions, refined animations, and a more immersive experience while switching between apps. The update aims to make every interaction feel intuitive and dynamic.
Smart Lock Screen Updates
Another major highlight is the live update feature for compatible apps such as cab services, food delivery, and e-commerce. This feature will display real-time updates—like delivery progress or taxi ETA—directly on the lock screen, allowing users to stay informed without unlocking their device.
Enhanced Device Security
With Android 16, Google and OnePlus are introducing their strongest-ever mobile protection system. It includes advanced defenses against malware, unsafe websites, scam calls, and online attacks. A new anti-theft feature will also render stolen phones useless, ensuring complete data safety.
AI Integration and Mind Space
OxygenOS 16 integrates OnePlus AI features, the Mind Space mode, and Google’s Gemini generative AI models. Users can now interact with the AI assistant for practical tasks—like planning a family trip or finding the best deals under a set budget—beyond just answering general queries.
