Stock Market Holiday: BSE, NSE Closed on March 26 for Ram Navami
BSE and NSE will remain closed on March 26, 2026, for Ram Navami. Trading will resume on March 27.
Indian equity markets will remain closed on Thursday, March 26, 2026, on account of Ram Navami.
Trading across equity, equity derivatives, and Securities Lending and Borrowing segments will stay suspended on both Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange.
Regular market activity will resume on Friday, March 27. This will be followed by another holiday on March 31 for Mahavir Jayanti, resulting in a truncated trading week.
Commodity market schedule
In the commodities segment, National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange will remain closed for the entire day. However, Multi Commodity Exchange of India will operate in a split session. The morning session will remain shut, while trading will resume in the evening session from 5:00 PM to 11:55 PM.
Trading hours explained
Under normal conditions, Indian stock markets operate from Monday to Friday. The main trading session runs from 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM, preceded by a pre open session between 9:00 AM and 9:15 AM. Markets remain closed on weekends and notified public holidays.
