The Bihar School Examination Board on Wednesday began the online application process for admission to Class 11 for the academic session 2026–28. Students can apply till April 18 through the Online Facilitation System for Students.

The admission process for Class 11 in the state's higher secondary schools (academic session 2026-28) begins on April 8. Students can apply online until April 18. The Bihar School Examination Board stated that the general application form and general list will be available on the board's website, https://ofssbihar.net, starting April 8.

The examination committee has asked students to carefully read the general guidelines. This will provide detailed information on the application process under OFSS, the selection process, the process for notifying applicants of their selection for admission, reservations, and more.

Online application will be made through OFSS

Online applications will be accepted through OFSS for admission to all recognized government and non-government intermediate-level educational institutions offering higher secondary education only. Online applications will not be accepted.

The examination committee said that before filling the enrollment form, students should check the cut-off marks of the merit list released for admission in various inter-level educational institutions of the state through OFSS in the last year (2025) on the website https://ofssbihar.net, then decide in which inter-level educational institution they want to take admission as per their priority.

You can select a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 options.

Once selected, all options will be considered final and cannot be changed during the enrollment process. The application fee is ₹350. Failure to pay the application fee will result in rejection.

Nomination will be done on 17.50 lakh seats

Bihar School Examination Board has uploaded the list of all the government, non-government higher secondary schools, inter colleges of the state providing inter level education on the OFSS website.

This time, a list of 10,003 educational institutions has been released, along with faculty-wise seat distributions. Over 17.50 lakh seats are open for admission. There will be no admission to intermediate courses in degree colleges.

Secondary schools start classes 10th and 12th

Students promoted to grades 10th and 12th have begun their studies in the district's secondary and higher secondary schools. The enrollment process for grade 9 will continue until April 30. On the first day, 10th and 12th grade students were welcomed, and the Bihar Education Project Council distributed new school bags to all the children.

Madhu Kumari, Principal of the Government Higher Secondary School, Chiraiyatand, Patna, distributed school bags to the children. She stated that after the enrollment process is complete, students in the ninth grade will also receive free school bags. Classes 10th and 12th have already begun.

The children were excited to receive their school bags. Meanwhile, the District Education Office has directed all secondary and higher secondary schools to distribute the provided school bags to the children. They have also stated that they will ensure that photos and videos of the distributed school bags are sent to the relevant department.
