PSSSB Excise Inspector Exam Pattern, Age Limit and Application Fee Details

The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board has started the online registration process for recruitment to the posts of Excise and Taxation Inspector. A total of 197 vacancies have been announced.

Eligible candidates can apply through the official website sssb.punjab.gov.in. The selection process will include a written examination and a typing test. There will be no interview.

PSSSB has notified 197 posts of Excise and Taxation Inspector. The vacancies are distributed among categories as per Punjab government reservation rules.

Eligibility criteria

Educational qualification

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.

They must have passed matriculation with Punjabi as a subject.

Applicants should have completed a 120 hour computer course with practical training in office applications or possess a DOEACC ‘O’ level certificate.

Age limit

Minimum age is 18 years.

Maximum age for the general category is 37 years.

Age relaxation will apply to reserved categories as per government norms.

Selection process and exam pattern

The recruitment process consists of a written examination followed by a typing test. There will be no interview.

Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer

Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for the typing test. Final selection will be based on performance in the prescribed stages.

Salary

Selected candidates will receive pay as per the 7th Central Pay Commission. The starting basic pay is Rs 35,400 per month along with applicable allowances.
