UP Board Starts Class 10, 12 Copy Checking At 250 Centres, Results By April Soon

The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has started the evaluation of Class 10 and Class 12 answer sheets from Wednesday across 250 centres in the state, officials said.

Out of the total centres, 117 have been designated for high school, 111 for intermediate, and 22 for both classes. The board has set April 1 as the deadline to complete the evaluation process.

Officials said answer sheets and related materials have already been made available at all centres. Around 1.31 lakh examiners have been deployed for the exercise.

The evaluation process will be monitored online through a state-level control room set up at the board headquarters. UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh stated that preparations for the evaluation have been completed. The checking will be conducted daily from 10 am to 5 pm, with a one-hour recess from 1 pm to 2 pm.

Training And Deployment

Examiners underwent training at all centres on Tuesday ahead of the commencement of evaluation. In total, about 1.53 lakh personnel, including examiners, have been appointed for the process.

This includes 250 Deputy Controllers, 13,940 Deputy Chief Examiners, and 6,980 auditors.

Evaluation Guidelines

To ensure quality, limits have been set on the number of answer sheets evaluated per examiner. Each examiner will check a maximum of 50 high school copies and 45 intermediate copies per day.

Over the entire evaluation period, an examiner will be assigned up to 700 high school answer sheets and 600 intermediate answer sheets. For high school arts subjects, the maximum limit has been fixed at 800 answer sheets per examiner.

The board aims to complete the evaluation within the stipulated timeline and proceed with result preparation thereafter.
