After captivating audiences with his performance in 'Tiger 3', actor Emraan Hashmi is gearing up to take the lead in an upcoming digital series titled 'Showtime.'

Helmed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, 'Showtime' promises to be an "epic saga of legacy and ambition in the world of cinema," offering viewers an insider's view into the intricacies of the Bollywood industry, addressing themes such as nepotism and power struggles at the pinnacle.

Expressing his enthusiasm for 'Showtime,' Emraan stated, "Being in the industry for so long, I have seen both the good and bad side of it, so when this show came to me, I grabbed the opportunity of being a part of it and could resonate with it on various levels. Disney+ Hotstar and Dharmatic Entertainment have been known to be some of the most quality storytellers in the industry and collaborating with them has been an incredible experience. We have always seen the audience longing to know more about what goes on behind the closed doors of Bollywood and let me just say - we have heard you all! Get ready to dive deep into the tales of Bollywood!"

The ensemble cast of 'Showtime' also includes Mouni Roy, Naseeruddin Shah, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Shriya Saran.

Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Mihir Desai serve as the executive producers for the show.

Karan Johar shared that 'Showtime' holds a special place in his heart, providing an intimate look into the power dynamics of showbiz. He anticipates the series to draw clear battle lines, cross them, and keep the cameras rolling to the applause of the audience.

'Showtime' is slated for release in 2024 on Disney+ Hotstar, promising an engaging exploration of the Bollywood realm.
