Adinath Kothare Announces New Detective Drama 'Dhananjay' After Award-Winning Success
After the grand success of Sawalyachi Janu Sawali, actor-producer Adinath Kothare is all set to make waves again with his upcoming detective drama “Dhananjay.” The web series, based on Baburao Arnalkar’s iconic literary character, marks yet another milestone for Zee5 Marathi Originals and Kothare Vision.

The recently held Zee Marathi Awards concluded with great grandeur, and at the ceremony, the show “SawalyaChi Janu Sawali,” produced by Mahesh Kothare and Adinath Kothare under Kothare Vision, bagged as many as eight awards — including Best Serial, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Comedic Role, Best Character, Best Couple, Most Popular Family, and Zee5 Marathi Most Watched Show.
Amid all the celebrations, Adinath Kothare made yet another big announcement, surprising audiences by revealing that a new web series under Zee5 Marathi Originals will be launched soon. Adinath will be seen taking on the dual responsibilities of actor and producer for this web series.
Two of Marathi industry’s biggest production houses — Indian Magic Eye (founded by Shri Srirang Godbole) and Storytellers Nook Pvt. Ltd. (founded by Adinath Kothare) — are collaborating to produce this web series titled “Dhananjay.”
The show will bring to life the iconic literary character Dhananjay, created by novelist Baburao Arnalkar. Interestingly, Adinath will be seen playing a double role in the series — once again showcasing his versatility as both actor and producer.
