Akshaye Khanna does it again! Dhurandhar is out in the theatres, and Akshaye Khanna makes quite an impression as Rehman Balouch, from the start itself. Known for his unmatched versatility and the drive to always set the bar high, Akshaye brings in the menace as Rehman Dakait without making it look superficial or manufactured even for a minute. His admirable grip on his role not only works for him, but for the film entirely, fusing the spy actioner with a strange emotional gravity.
His character arc gets better with time, and not once does he make the viewers feel that he’s out of place - and that’s exactly what shows his range to disappear behind the character. His expressions, timing, pauses and the ability to speak more with cold stares make Rehman Dakait a cannon fire, and you trust Khanna to pull off such an unconventional role of a villain, whose mind is a razor-sharp weapon!
