Alia Bhatt Officially adds Kapoor to her Name

Mumbai: Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has officially adopted the Kapoor surname, two years after her marriage to actor Ranbir Kapoor. She revealed this news while promoting her upcoming film Jigra on The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2.

Upcoming Film 'Jigra'

Alia Bhatt's new movie, Jigra, is set for release on October 11. Directed by Vasan Bala, the film also stars Vedang Raina. Alia is not only acting in the movie but is also a co-producer.

Alia Bhatt's Work front

Alia Bhatt was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023), where she starred alongside Ranveer Singh, directed by Karan Johar.

Additionally, she appeared in the American spy thriller Heart of Stone, directed by Tom Harper, sharing the screen with Gal Gadot.

Upcoming Projects of Alia Bhatt

Alia has several exciting projects lined up:
Love & War: Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, this film will be released on March 20, 2026. It will feature Alia alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
Alpha: This film is part of YRF's Spy Universe and will see Alia in a leading female role.
