Renowned filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, known for his impactful films like Article 15 and Thappad, recently hinted at a new superhero project.
In a recent interview, Sinha shared, “I am working on an interesting superhero. Action and music have been calling me for a while now.”
Regarding speculations about whether his next superhero film will be a sequel to Ra.One, the director shared in another interview, “Ra-One ended at a point where I haven’t been able to think of an extension. But maybe we’ll create something new, perhaps even another superhero."
Ra.One revolutionized Bollywood's superhero genre with its exceptional visual effects and exhilarating action sequences. The film, which starred Shah Rukh Khan as the iconic G.One, has become a cult favorite over the years.
Anubhav Sinha 's Work Front
Anubhav Sinha's last release was Afwaah, a socio-political thriller featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar.
Before that, he directed Bheed (2023), a gripping social drama that explored the struggles of migrant workers during the COVID-19 lockdown. The film, starring Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, and Pankaj Kapur, received praise for its realistic portrayal of the crisis, although it didn’t fare as well at the box office.
Additionally, his superhero project promises to bring another fresh narrative to the genre. Fans are eagerly waiting to see what Sinha, with his unique storytelling, will deliver next in the superhero realm.
