Anupam Kher's face appears on fake Rs 500 Notes – Here's what happened
Bollywood veteran Anupam Kher was both surprised and amused after learning that his face appeared on counterfeit Rs 500 currency notes worth Rs 1.6 crore. These fake notes were seized by Ahmedabad police, who discovered that instead of Mahatma Gandhi's face, the notes featured Kher's image.

Fake currency circulates on Social Media
The counterfeit notes also carried the name 'Resole Bank of India' instead of 'Reserve Bank of India.' Several videos showcasing these notes have gone viral on social media platforms.
Anupam Kher shared one such video, expressing his bewilderment by captioning it, "लो जी कर लो बात! 😳😳😳

Counterfeit notes seized in Gujarat
The incident came to light when a bullion firm owner, Mehul Thakkar, was tricked and received counterfeit notes amounting to Rs 1.6 crore. After the fraud was reported, the Ahmedabad police launched an investigation and registered a case against unknown individuals involved in the scam.
