Famous Assamese singer Gayatri Hazarika passed away on May 16, 2025, in Guwahati. She was only 44 years old. She had been fighting colon cancer for a long time. She breathed her last at around 2:15 PM at Nemcare Hospital. Her death has left a deep impact on the music and cultural world of Assam.
