Naman said he made his first two short films on an iPhone on a zero budget. "Making both the movies on a zero budget and an IPhone taught me so much about one's hunger to just tell stories. With no budget, I did what us as Indians use the best to our advantage... and that is “Jugaad”! More importantly, when you don’t have a budget (which most short films don’t) you end up pushing yourself creatively to execute your vision despite the budget constraints… a skill that I was very fortunate to learn very early on in my career. I learnt how to have clarity in your thoughts and excellent foresight to know what you want your end product to be like. I feel extremely fortunate to be getting the chance to work on many different genres and mediums at this point because I just want to learn and then learn some more! I want to also not be afraid of making mistakes because those are what I have learnt the most from and used them to become a better artist," he added.
