Border 2 First Look: The first poster of Border 2 dropped on August 15, 2025, as India marked its 79th Independence Day. Sunny Deol shared the intense image on Instagram, featuring himself in Army fatigues, gripping a bazooka, and shouting amid a fierce battlefield backdrop. Several soldiers, waving the Indian tricolour, evoke a visual reminiscent of the 1999 Kargil War victory moment.

New Release Date Announced

Originally set to hit theatres on January 23, 2026, Border 2 will now release a day earlier on January 22, 2026. The shift aligns the film’s debut with the extended Republic Day weekend. Sharing the update, Sunny Deol wrote, "Hindustan ke liye ladenge... phir ek baar" (“We will fight for India, once again”), adding patriotic emojis and the official hashtag #Border2.

Fan Reactions to the Poster

The poster has triggered a wave of excitement online. Comments flooded social media, with fans calling it “goosebumps-inducing” and predicting “another blockbuster in the making.” Many expressed eagerness to see co-stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in their soldier avatars.

The original Border, set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, was based on the real-life Battle of Longewala. Featuring an all-star cast led by Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, and Suniel Shetty, the film became one of the highest-grossing releases of its year, earning Rs.66 crore. Its patriotic songs and emotional war drama still hold a cult following nearly three decades later.
