Dhurandhar: Aditya Dhar Brings a New Grammar of Violence by Merging Four Global Action Styles
Jio Studios and B62 Studios’ Dhurandhar has unleashed a storm on the big screens! While its power-packed star cast and an intriguing storyline are grabbing attention for the right reasons, what’s also causing the ultimate cinematic destruction is its action - including intense chase sequences, tense combats, impactful collisions among many more! Director Aditya Dhar blends four global action styles to set up a new grammar of violence with a combination of skills that are distinctly unique from one another.

Dhurandhar brings together four specialists, Aejaz Gulab, Sea-Young Oh, Yannick Ben and Ramazan Bulut, each of them coming from different action disciplines. As the scale of the film demanded action sequences that differed from one another, Aditya Dhar’s choice was intentional, resulting in a fusion of action techniques and skills that don’t overlap.
Each action director brings a different flavour to the film’s action sequences. Aejaz Gulab, having worked for films like Once upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara and others, brings Indian practical action with vehicle work, huge outdoor units and controlled collisions. Sea-Young Oh, the man behind Kill and the famous hammam action sequence in Tiger 3, adds a touch of razor-sharp discipline of Korean close-combat precision with crisp impacts, rhythmic flow, and choreography built on sustained tension.
Yannick Ben, having worked in The Ba***ds of Bollywood, The Family Man Season 3 and more, adds more physicality to the film’s action flavour with European parkour-style transitions: agile chase sequences, complex rig setups and spatial transitions. Ramazan Bulut, having worked in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, Indian 2 and more, adds to the film’s action density with European-Turkish movements grounded in precise footwork, strategic placements and body work.
Together, Aditya Dhar brings an action grammar that combines Indian physicality, Korean edge, European sharpness and Turkish density, serving structured cinematic action pieces for an experience that’s adrenaline-fueled and engaging.
