In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Shilpa Shetty shared insights into her connection with filmmaker Rohit Shetty, revealing that their association dates back to their fathers' friendship. Shilpa's father had assisted Rohit’s father in the film "Yaadon Ki Baaraat," being part of the action team in both "Yaadon Ki Baaraat" and "Rafoo Chakkar."

Shilpa amusingly mentioned that she often tells Rohit that their collaboration was destined, recalling an opportunity 14 years ago when she was approached for one of the "Golmaal" films. Unfortunately, due to her commitments after winning Big Brother and Rohit's busy schedule, the collaboration didn't materialize at that time.

Despite the missed chance, Shilpa expressed excitement about their current project, stating, “I was so gutted because when you see a brand becoming so big, you wish you were in the movie. But I am glad we are doing this amazing project together now."

Rohit Shetty, in a statement, revealed that Shilpa was not the initial choice for her role in "Indian Police Force," which was initially written for a male lead. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, they approached Shilpa, who was shooting for her film "Sukhee" in Chandigarh. Despite her tight schedule with "India’s Got Talent," Shilpa took on the challenging role and even suffered a leg injury during an action scene.

During the trailer launch event, Rohit praised Shilpa's dedication, mentioning an incident where she suffered a fracture, leading to a three-month hiatus. Shilpa plays the character Tara Shetty, a cop she describes as a "Shero." Tara is portrayed as a character with a unique blend of beauty, fierceness, passion, compassion, and selflessness in her line of duty.

Set in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, "Indian Police Force" promises to be a high-octane entertainer with seven gripping episodes, paying homage to the dedication and sacrifices of brave police officers. The ensemble cast includes Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Vivek Oberoi, Nikitin Dheer, Shweta Tiwari, Sharad Kelkar, and more. Directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash, the show is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on January 19, creating significant anticipation among the audience.
