Diljit Dosanjh Teases February Release for Punjab 95
Punjabi singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has shared an exciting update about his much-anticipated film, Punjab 95. Taking to social media, Diljit revealed new stills from the movie, hinting at a February 2025 release.

Punjab 95 's Trailer Coming Soon
Diljit reshared a post from his team on Instagram, captioned, "Punjab 95 in February," with the added promise, "Trailer soon."
This announcement has heightened anticipation among fans eager to see the film, which is based on the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra.
A Story Rooted in History
Punjab 95, directed by Honey Trehan and produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies, chronicles the life of Jaswant Singh Khalra. Khalra gained recognition for uncovering human rights violations during the Punjab insurgency period (1984–1994). His investigation into the cremation of thousands of unidentified bodies highlighted police excesses. Tragically, in 1995, Khalra was kidnapped and murdered—a crime for which police officers were later convicted.
Journey to the Screen
Initially slated for its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in 2023, Punjab 95 faced unexpected hurdles, including its removal from TIFF’s lineup and delays with CBFC certification. After overcoming these challenges, the film is now poised for its theatrical release.
Star-Studded Cast of the film
In addition to Diljit Dosanjh, the film features Arjun Rampal and Suvinder Vicky, who recently gained acclaim for Kohraa. The compelling narrative, coupled with a stellar cast, promises to make Punjab 95 a powerful cinematic experience.
