The famous folk singer, who made her special identity in the Indian music world with her folk songs, said goodbye to the world on Tuesday. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has announced that Sharda Sinha's last rites will be performed with state honors.
Famous folk singer Sharda Sinha's last rites will be performed with state honor in Patna. Though singer body left for Patna on Wednesday morning. In the meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced on Wednesday that the last rites of late Sharda Sinha, honored with Bihar Kokila, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, will be performed with state honors.

Earlier, CM Nitish Kumar had expressed grief on the social media platform X and wrote a post, "The demise of Bihar Kokila, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan awardee Sharda Sinha ji is sad. She was a famous folk singer. She had sung Maithili, Bajjika, Bhojpuri as well as Hindi songs.
She had also given her melodious voice in many Hindi films. The melodious songs sung by late Sharda Sinha ji on the Chhath festival reverberate in all parts of the country including Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.

She was 72 years old. On Monday, she was shifted to the ventilator when her health deteriorated. The people of Bihar are heartbroken to hear the news of her death.
