Director Shankar, who was absent from the launch, addressed fans via social media, explaining his absence due to editing commitments in Chennai. He assured fans that the film, set to release by Sankranti 2025, is progressing as planned.
About the Film
Game Changer marks Ram Charan and Kiara Advani’s second collaboration after Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019). Despite the previous film’s mixed reception, their on-screen chemistry has been praised, building anticipation for this new project. Set against the backdrop of Indian electoral politics, the story follows an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, hinting at a socially relevant theme.
Production Highlights and Release Date
The film, announced in 2021, is Shankar’s debut Telugu-language project. Notable actors like Anjali, Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Prakash Raj, and Sunil are also part of the cast. Game Changer is slated for a theatrical release on January 10, 2025, to coincide with the Sankranti festival.
