Ground Zero Gets Special Screening for BSF Soldiers in Srinagar
A special screening of the upcoming film Ground Zero was held in Srinagar for the Border Security Force (BSF) jawans. The lead actors Emraan Hashmi and Sai Tamhankar attended the event along with the film’s team. Also present were director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and producers Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and their families.

Emraan Hashmi Plays BSF Commandant
In the film, Emraan Hashmi plays the role of a brave BSF commandant, Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey. Actress Sai Tamhankar portrays his wife, showing the personal side of a soldier's life.
Film Honoring BSF Heroes
Ground Zero is presented by Excel Entertainment and is set to release in cinemas on April 25, 2025. Directed by Tejas Deoskar, the movie highlights the life and mission of a real BSF officer involved in the operation to eliminate a terrorist mastermind, Ghazi Baba, in the early 2000s in Kashmir.
Emraan Hashmi Calls It a Tribute to BSF
In an interview, Emraan Hashmi shared that this is the first film made especially to honour the BSF. He said, “We often see movies about the Indian Army and police, but this one tells the story of BSF officers and their real sacrifices. That makes it a big milestone.”
The Mission That Protected the Nation
Hashmi also called the mission shown in the film a "defining moment" in India's fight against terrorism. He said the movie is not just for entertainment but to raise awareness about the brave work done by the BSF.
