Hansal’s Thoughts on Box Office Numbers
Speaking about the pressure of box office results, Hansal Mehta admitted that box office numbers can be nerve-wracking. He shared, “I’ll be lying if I say I don’t get nervous. Earlier, I couldn’t afford to take a break, so I used to hide, but now I leave before the release and disconnect. This way, I can move on without getting stuck.”
Hansal also expressed his dissatisfaction with how films are reduced to weekend box office numbers. “It’s unfortunate that we’ve made cinema a short game, focusing just on the weekend. I believe films are for posterity, but now we don’t give them time. We reduce them to numbers, which I find demeaning to the hard work that goes into making a film,” he added.
Box Office Collection
Despite favourable reviews, The Buckingham Murders has earned just over Rs.6.5 crore nett in India, according to Sacnilk.com.
