After a hiatus of 28 years, the 71st Miss World pageant is set to unfold in India on March 9. India last hosted this renowned beauty event in 1996. The grand finale will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre in BKC, Mumbai.

The highly anticipated event is scheduled to commence at 7:30 pm local time at the Jio World Convention Centre, promising a night of glamour and beauty.

The judging panel for the finale includes Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of India TV, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh, and Bollywood actors Kriti Sanon and Pooja Hegde. Other notable judges include Amruta Fadnavis, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Julia Morley.

India's impressive track record

India has a storied history with this pageant, securing victory six times. The journey began in 1966 when Reita Faria clinched the title. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan followed in 1994, and Diana Hayden won in 1997. Yukta Mookhey brought home the crown in 1999, followed by Priyanka Chopra in 2000. The most recent victory was by Manushi Chhillar, who became Miss World in a spectacular win. India is hopeful for another triumph in the 71st edition of the pageant.
