The Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) confirmed Yusuf’s passing with a heartfelt tribute, expressing shock at his sudden demise and highlighting his significant contributions to the evolving Malayalam cinema. "The unexpected demise of Nishadh Yusuf is a loss that the film world will struggle to accept," FEFKA's post read.
Career Highlights and Contributions
Yusuf’s editing work spanned a variety of celebrated films, including Thallumaala, Unda, One, Saudi Vellakka, and Adios Amigos. He won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Editor in 2022 for Thallumaala, an action-comedy featuring Tovino Thomas and Kalyani Priyadarshan. Yusuf also had several upcoming projects, such as Bazooka, starring Mammootty, and Kanguva, a major film directed by Siva and starring Suriya, Bobby Deol, and Disha Patani.
Personal Life
A native of Haripad in Kerala's Alappuzha district, Nishadh Yusuf is survived by his wife and two children.
