Kerala Rapper Vedan Caught with Ganja at Kochi Apartment
Kerala rapper Vedan, whose real name is Hirandas Murali, was arrested by the Hill Palace police on Monday (April 28, 2025). The police found around six grams of ganja (cannabis) at his apartment near Vyttila in Kochi after getting a tip-off.

According to police sources, Vedan had returned to the apartment with eight friends after performing at a stage show on Sunday night (April 27, 2025). The police are currently questioning Vedan and his friends to gather more information.
Officials said that Rapper Vedan will be charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act once the questioning is over. Since the amount of ganja found was small, he may be given station bail.
Vedan, a native of Thrissur, rose to fame with his rap video "Voice of the Voiceless," which became very popular online. He also worked with famous music director Sushin Shyam on the promo song "Kuthanthram" for the hit Malayalam film Manjummel Boys.
The police mentioned that more details about the case will be shared soon.
