Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar has hinted at a sequel to his 2019 war drama ‘Kesari’ on its sixth anniversary. The actor took to social media to share a video featuring stills from the original film, sparking excitement among fans.

A New Chapter Begins
The video’s text overlay revealed that details about the sequel will be announced soon. Along with the teaser, Akshay wrote, “Celebrating 6 years of Kesari. Celebrating the spirit of Kesari. Celebrating a new chapter that begins... soon.”
The video also carried a powerful message, “Six years ago… A story of courage shook the nation. 21 Sikhs against thousands of Afghans. Outnumbered. Surrounded. But never defeated. They fought like lions, they became legends. History wrote one chapter… Now, we tell the next.”

What is ‘Kesari’ About?
Directed by Anurag Singh, ‘Kesari’ starred Akshay Kumar as Havildar Ishar Singh, a soldier in the British Indian Army. The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi (1897), where 21 Sikh soldiers of the 36th Sikh Regiment bravely fought against 10,000 Pashtun tribesmen. The movie also featured Parineeti Chopra in a key role.
