As the season finale of Tom Hiddleston's Loki 2 draws near, the misadventures of the God of Mischief within the Time Variance Authority (TVA) unfold, guided by Owen Wilson's Mobius M. Mobius and Rafael Casal's Hunter B-15. Their mission: tracking down Sylvie, Loki's variant, and uncovering the mysteries tied to Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes, closely linked to the enigmatic antagonist, He Who Remains.

Before the much-anticipated final episode of Loki 2, the series' cinematographer, Isaac Bauman, sat down with Hindustan Times. He addressed the notion that the show heavily relies on CGI and contradicted this assumption. Bauman encourages viewers to watch the series for evidence that Loki 2 thrives on exceptional production design, writing, and acting.

“I’d say the proof is in the pudding. Watch Loki Season 2. It goes without saying it’s a show driven by wonderful production design, writing, acting, and yes, the cinematography as well. We built four walls and a ceiling every time on that set. There’s very little VFX work on Loki,” he said.

Regarding his perspective on Tom Hiddleston's lead character, the cinematographer assures that it will bring a fresh and surprising experience to the audience. Isaac believes that viewers may not have anticipated the impressive stylized presentation of Loki 2. He expresses a sense of lamentation that this iteration of the God of Mischief differs significantly from what viewers have seen in the MCU previously. The deliberate use of aesthetics, including subtle lighting and distinctive style, serves the purpose of conveying that the Loki presented in this miniseries is distinct and unique.

“This isn’t the MCU, and this isn’t the Loki you’ve seen before. This is a whole new ballgame, the stakes have changed, anything can happen. I think by changing the aesthetic and opening the show up to a broader stylistic palette, it was basically saying, ‘You know what? Expect the unexpected,'” the cinematographer added.

The demise of the God of Mischief occurred at the hands of the formidable supervillain Thanos during the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Nevertheless, a twist of fate unfolds in Endgame, introducing a variant of Loki into the Time Variance Authority (TVA). This miniseries sets the stage for a thrilling clash between Loki and the time-traveling entity, He Who Remains, who manifests in diverse forms across the multiverse.

In Loki 2, Jonathan Majors reprises his role as the antagonist, now portraying the variant Victor Timely. This iteration of He Who Remains is a 19th-century industrialist with a timid demeanor and a distinctive stutter, yet beneath his unassuming exterior lies a cunning and malevolent intelligence, evident in his conman antics.

The eagerly awaited conclusion of Loki Season 2 is set to premiere on Thursday, November 9.
