Director Mahesh Narayanan Welcomes Him
Filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan, in a conversation with Manorama Online, said he was delighted about Mammootty’s return to work. “Mammukka has been with us for almost 50 days of shooting before he took a break. Now, we have six days scheduled in Hyderabad, after which we’ll move to the UK. Chackochan and other actors are also part of the schedule. I am truly happy to have him back,” he said.

For weeks, speculation about Mammootty’s health had caused concern among fans. However, in August, his secretary George Sebastian confirmed that the actor had fully recovered. The actor further reassured fans when he celebrated his 74th birthday on September 7 and later shared an Instagram post: “Back to doing what I love most in life after a short break. Words aren’t enough to thank everyone who checked on me during my absence. The camera is calling…”
Dulquer Salmaan’s Emotional Note
Mammootty’s son, actor Dulquer Salmaan, also expressed joy on his father’s comeback. Taking to social media, he wrote: “After a brief pause, the King returns in style. A true legend never fades. #ReturnOfTheKing.” His post was widely shared, adding to the wave of relief and happiness among fans.
