Man buys land on moon for wife
Moon has been an integral part of love stories all over world. Men often promise to bring moon to their partners. Manato from West Bengal have proved those claims by buying an acre of land of moon for his wife Anumika. He bought the land on moon for Rs10,000. According to media reports, he got inspired by the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission. The success raised hope for him to get at least a piece of land on Moon if not the whole planet.
In pursuit of a unique and sentimental gift, Mahato turned to Luna Society International for assistance. He acquired one acre of lunar land for his wife, a process that spanned approximately a year and culminated in the issuance of a registration paper bearing the title 'Registered claim and deed for lunar property.'
For Mahato and his spouse, gazing at the Moon has become a cherished part of their love story, often sharing romantic moments in their garden while looking skyward.
When asked if he had contemplated alternative gift options, Mahato acknowledged that he had but emphasized the Moon's special significance in their hearts. Thus, on their first anniversary as a married couple, the lunar gift felt like the perfect choice.
While private ownership of outer space remains a distant concept, several gift websites continue to offer "pieces of moon land" along with accompanying "certifications" for those interested.
Notably, a teacher from Tripura similarly "gifted" himself one acre of Moon land last year on Valentine's Day, inspired by Bollywood celebrities who also hold lunar property.
