For some, dreams take years to come true, while for others, they unfold like a perfectly written script. Actor Anuj Singh Duhan is experiencing the latter. He is all set to appear in Superboys of Malegaon, and for him, it’s nothing short of magical.

The actor recently revealed how he had written in his journal at the start of 2024, “I am working with Zoya and Reema.” Without realizing it, he had manifested his biggest dream. “It’s incredible how manifestation works. I wrote it down and forgot about it, but by the end of the year, it actually happened! It still feels surreal,” Anuj shared.
A Career Milestone
Speaking about his journey, Anuj expressed his gratitude. “It’s a dream come true for any artist to work on such an intriguing project. I want to thank everyone who appreciated my work in Pippa. It motivates me to keep working with more passion. I am also grateful to Reema for giving me this opportunity,” he told IANS.
The Story of Malegaon’s Indie Filmmakers
Superboys of Malegaon brings to life the struggles and dreams of amateur filmmakers from Malegaon, a small city in Maharashtra. The film, starring Anuj Singh Duhan, Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Shashank Arora, draws inspiration from the 2008 documentary Supermen of Malegaon. The original documentary showcased how Malegaon’s filmmakers overcame poverty and social challenges to create entertaining Bollywood spoofs.
Directed by Reema Kagti and backed by Excel Entertainment, Superboys of Malegaon immerses viewers into this passionate world of indie filmmaking. The film is set to hit theatres on February 28 and will later stream on Prime Video, reaching a global audience.
The film also had its grand premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) 2024 in the Gala section on September 13, adding to its anticipation.
