Marathi Actor Yogesh Mahajan Passes Away at 48 Due to Heart Attack
Renowned actor Yogesh Mahajan, celebrated for his stellar performances in Marathi films and Hindi mythological serials, passed away suddenly on January 19, 2025, due to a heart attack. The actor was in Umragaon for the shooting of the Hindi serial Shiv Shakti - Tap, Tyag, Tandav, in which he played the role of Shukracharya.

What Happened to Yogesh Mahajan?
According to reports, after completing the shoot on Saturday evening, Yogesh began feeling unwell and consulted a doctor. Despite taking medication, his condition deteriorated. When he failed to show up for shooting on Sunday morning, the production team found him unresponsive in his hotel room. He had passed away in his sleep.
A Journey Cut Short
Yogesh Mahajan, born in September 1976 in a farmer family in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, was a self-made actor who carved a niche for himself in Marathi, Hindi, and Bhojpuri cinema. Before entering the entertainment industry, he served in the Indian Army.
He began his acting career in Bhojpuri cinema and later gained immense popularity through Marathi films like Mumbaiche Shahane and Samsarachi Maya.
Final Rites and Family Statement
The Mahajan family expressed their sorrow in a heartfelt message:
"It is with great sadness that we inform you of the sudden demise of our beloved Yogesh Mahajan. This is a terrible shock for our entire family, relatives, and friends."
The last rites will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Gorari-2 Crematorium, near Pragati High School, Borivali West, Mumbai.
