Mayoori Kango, Who Worked with Ajay Devgn and Mahesh Babu, Is Now a CEO
Mayoori Kango had secured admission to IIT Kanpur, but destiny had other plans. She gave up the prestigious opportunity when Bollywood came calling. She made her debut in Saeed Akhtar Mirza’s 1995 film Naseem, which went on to win two National Awards.

Breakthrough with Papa Kehta Hain
Her big moment came in Mahesh Bhatt’s 1996 film Papa Kehta Hain, where her performance and the evergreen song “Ghar Se Nikalte Hi” made her a household name. Though the movie wasn’t a blockbuster, Mayoori’s light-eyed charm and acting left a mark.
Working with Big Stars
During her short but memorable acting career, Mayoori starred opposite Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt in films like Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet and Jung. She also ventured into Telugu cinema with Vamsi, opposite superstar Mahesh Babu.
Exit from Bollywood
In 2003, Mayoori married NRI Aditya Dhillon and moved to the United States. The couple welcomed a son in 2011. She soon decided to leave the film industry behind and build a new life abroad.
Corporate Journey Begins
Mayoori pursued her MBA from the City University of New York – Baruch College (Zicklin School of Business) and gradually transitioned into the corporate world. She later relocated to Gurgaon, balancing motherhood and her professional ambitions.
From Google to CEO Role
In 2019, she joined Google India as Industry Head, a significant milestone in her career. Recently, she returned to Publicis Groupe, this time as the Chief Executive Officer of its Global Delivery division, marking her rise as a leading figure in the corporate world.
