Turning Down Karan Johar’s Film

Despite auditioning and securing a role in Karan Johar's Brahmastra, Siddhant turned it down based on his father's advice. He was even offered a three-film contract with Dharma Productions but rejected it.

In an interview with Humans of Bombay, he revealed how his father guided him. His father questioned, "Who will notice you among stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan?" and advised him not to "sell his destiny" without fully understanding the script.

Struggles and Breakthrough

After rejecting multiple offers, Siddhant faced backlash from the industry, with some labeling him as "blacklisted." However, he stayed true to his goal of playing leading roles and showcasing his full potential. His persistence paid off when he landed the role of MC Sher in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy, a character that earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. Gully Boy was a commercial and critical success, grossing Rs. 235 crore worldwide.
