Mrunal Thakur Reveals What Made Her Say ‘Yes’ to Dacoit, Says “This love story is made for me”

Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh’s upcoming film 'Dacoit' is scheduled to land in the theatres next week, and the makers have unveiled the gripping trailer of the love, revenge and action drama. During the trailer launch event, Mrunal Thakur revealed the reason behind giving a nod to the film, stating that the story highlights a different shade of love.

“This love story is made for me. I have done simple love stories where there is love, dating, and everything. But in this, you will get to see another side - Saraswati’s side - where there is not just love,” she says and adds, “There’s a little bit of anger, revenge…love that is broken, has courage. So, not just Saraswati, but Hari as well.”

The film is equally loaded with high-octane action, and it’s also one of the reasons that excited Mrunal. “It’s a different kind of love story. I didn’t want to be monotonous because people get bored with seeing the same thing. Adding a little bit of action makes it fun, especially when someone who has never done action can drive an ambulance, pick up a gun, and kill. Then, why not?” she states.

Loaded with chase sequences, revenge tropes, heist and betrayal, Dacoit makes for a refreshing watch in the theatres, especially with Mrunal Thakur exploring the fine balance between romance and action.

Helmed by Shaneil Deo, Dacoit also stars Anurag Kashyap and Prakash Raj among others. The movie is shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi and will release worldwide on April 10.
