Nadaaniyan Movie Review: A Predictable Love Story That Lacks Depth

Nadaaniyan Movie Review:  Nadaaniyan, a Netflix film produced by Karan Johar, attempts to bring a modern romance to the screen but ends up feeling like a weak replica of old Bollywood clichés. The movie follows Pia (Khushi Kapoor), a rich South Delhi girl who ropes in Arjun (Ibrahim Ali Khan), a middle-class overachiever, into a fake relationship. Predictably, they fall in love, leading to a story that feels overly familiar and lacking any originality.

Performances: Ibrahim Shines, Khushi Disappoints

Ibrahim Ali Khan, despite being new to the industry, shows promise. However, his potential is wasted in a weak script that offers little room for growth. On the other hand, Khushi Kapoor struggles to leave an impact with her one-dimensional performance. Mahima Chaudhry and Dia Mirza, both talented actresses, are underutilized, while Suniel Shetty’s character adds unnecessary complexity.

Forgettable Love Story

The biggest issue with Nadaaniyan is its lack of originality. The rich-girl-meets-middle-class-boy trope has been done many times before, and this film fails to bring anything new. The attempt to create emotional drama with outdated themes like parental pressure and class differences falls flat.
