The inaugural GoFlo Run created history at the MMRDA Grounds, BKC, as thousands of women united to celebrate fitness, empowerment, and menstrual hygiene awareness. Co-powered by Stayfree & Nova Saki Media, the event was flagged off by actress Neha Dhupia, actor and humanitarian Sonu Sood, and Anita Lobo, an ex-national level athlete and Director of GoFloRun, whose commitment to women's health and wellness served as the driving force behind this initiative. Adding to the momentum were the inspiring presences of celebrities like Siddharth Nigam and Saiyami Kher, who lent their support to the movement, making it a truly memorable day for all involved.

Adding to the impactful lineup were top gynecologist Dr. Nozer Sheriar, who also serves as an advisor to C3 (Centre for Catalyzing Change), fitness expert Brinston Miranda, Dr. Rickson Pereira, Ayesha Billimoria, Dr. Sapna Bangar, a leading child and adolescent psychiatrist and the Head of Stayfree’s Manoj Gadgil and representatives from NGO partner C3. Together, they united to champion this transformative initiative.

The day began with an electrifying Zumba session, setting the tone for the 10km, 5km, and 3km runs that brought together women from all walks of life in an inspiring celebration of resilience, strength, and community. The energy was contagious as participants joined hands to break stigmas and embrace well-being, creating a powerful ripple effect that resonated far beyond the venue.

Actress Neha Dhupia, who has been a passionate advocate for fitness and women's health, shared, "What moved me most today wasn’t just the number of women who showed up, but the stories behind each face—the courage it takes to show up for yourself and for each other. It’s about more than fitness or breaking stigmas; it’s about saying, ‘I see you, I stand with you.’ GoFlo Run has given us a space where we can celebrate those small yet profound acts of strength. This day will be remembered not just for the run, but for the bonds it created."

Director Anita Lobo expressed her excitement, saying, "Standing here today, surrounded by so many incredible women, I’m reminded of the quiet struggles we often face alone—juggling health, responsibilities, and societal expectations. GoFlo Run is about changing that narrative. It’s about reminding every woman that she’s not alone, that there’s a community rooting for her. Seeing mothers, daughters, friends, and strangers come together with such purpose is a moment I’ll carry in my heart for a long time."

Sonu Sood echoed his sentiments, "GoFlo Run has set an incredible precedent. It’s heartwarming to see this level of enthusiasm and togetherness for such a crucial cause. When women come together, they create change, and today is proof of that."

Saiyami Kher mentioned, “I completed my first full marathon in 2016, and since then, I've participated in 20 half marathons. This year, I also completed my first Ironman 70.3. From firsthand experience, I can tell you that running isn’t just about physical fitness—it’s so much more. You realize you’re far stronger than you think you are. To all the amazing ladies taking part in the GoFloRun, I wish you the very best. I'll be there cheering you on, so let’s do this together! Take care, and I fully support the GoFloRun.”

Siddharth Nigam remarked, "GoFlo Run is not just a physical journey but an emotional one. It’s a privilege to witness this powerful show of unity, resilience, and determination."
The event concluded with a renewed sense of solidarity as participants celebrated their shared commitment to health, fitness, and menstrual hygiene awareness. With its resounding success, GoFlo Run 2024 has set a bold benchmark for women-focused events, transforming fitness into a celebration of empowerment, community, and boundless potential.

Fitness icon Brinston Miranda shared his thoughts on the event, saying: "Fitness is about more than the physical—it’s about mental and emotional resilience too. Looking at these wonderful women who have come together to support this beautiful cause is truly inspiring. To see Neha Dhupia and Anita Lobo collaborate on such an incredible initiative is nothing short of amazing. GoFlo Run perfectly combines fitness and purpose, and today’s turnout shows the hunger for empowerment and change. It’s an honor to be part of something so meaningful."

Dr. Nozer Sheriar highlighted the importance of open dialogue about menstrual health "For far too long, periods have been surrounded by stigma. GoFlo Run is an opportunity to rewrite that narrative—to bring health and hygiene to the forefront of the conversation. Seeing this level of enthusiasm is incredibly encouraging."
