In the discussion, Nicole Kidman revealed that shooting Babygirl required "an enormous amount of trust" and compared the experience to “a jump off the cliff.” She explained that there were moments during filming where she didn’t know how she would handle certain scenes, but the trust she had in the team pushed her through.
"I've always been on a quest as an actor, I'm always going, where have I not been? And what can I explore as a human being? And this was an area I'd never been," Kidman shared. She added that working with a female director in a well-established genre allowed for new explorations in storytelling.

Harris Dickinson also spoke about the intensity of certain scenes in the film, noting, "Of course there were days where I would go in really terrified of a scene… But there was never a day that if the scene wasn't working or if we weren't comfortable, we never felt that time was more important."
