The makers served her a notice citing several breaches of key provisions in her exclusive artist agreement which they say led to harm to her character and the show. They served this notice in response to apparent unauthorized third-party endorsements and appearances she participated in without written consent as required as per her contract. The producers, Neela Film Productions, say that the breaches continued despite oral and verbal warnings given to her and therefore the notice was served to her.
As per Times of India’s report after reaching out to Palak, the actress revealed that she took the decision to quit the show and informed the production house on August 8. They told her that it would take some time and that they would give her the appropriate email to send her official resignation letter to, but this did not happen. Palak claims that they delayed the process of approving her resignation and all of a sudden she saw news reports about her breaching her contract.
She went on to say that she signed her contract five years ago and the makers had denied giving her a copy of the contract, and only received a copy on 19 September 2024. She says that they agreed to allow her to carry out brand endorsements, and she had also been doing some brand endorsements on social media after the pandemic. Palak say that they did not say anything to her at that time and only started this course of action when she informed them of her decision to quit.
The actress maintains that she is also taking legal advice and will do what is best for her career, and says that her decision to quit the popular comedy series was due to health reasons and professional growth. Palak finds the makers’ response unexpected especially after working with them for five years.
