Param Sundari Cast Fees: Sidharth Malhotra, Janhvi Kapoor’s Salaries Revealed
Param Sundari Cast Fees: The romantic comedy Param Sundari hit theatres this Friday, bringing Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor together on screen. Directed by Tushar Jalota and backed by Maddock Films, the film may be getting mixed reviews, but the cast salaries are stealing headlines.
Sidharth Malhotra’s Massive Paycheck
According to a Times of India report, Sidharth Malhotra earned the highest amount, charging between Rs 10–12 crore for his role. This marks one of his biggest paydays in recent years.
Janhvi Kapoor’s Impressive Fee
Janhvi Kapoor, playing the female lead, reportedly pocketed Rs 4–5 crore. While she hasn’t delivered a big box office hit yet, her consistent popularity ensured she received a solid paycheck.
Supporting Cast Earnings
The supporting actors also took home noteworthy amounts. Sanjay Kapoor, who plays Sidharth’s father, was paid around Rs 50 lakh, while Manjot Singh earned Rs 25 lakh. Despite being made on a relatively modest budget compared to other rom-coms, Maddock Films made sure the lead stars walked away with hefty sums.
Box Office Struggles Begin
Despite the hype around its fresh pairing and promotions, Param Sundari opened to underwhelming box office numbers. Trade estimates suggest Day 1 collections stood at Rs 7 crore, with occupancy at just 10.64%. By 8 pm on release day, the film earned Rs 4.32 crore from 4,908 shows nationwide, as per Sacnilk.
Sidharth And Janhvi’s Box Office Journey
The weak start has raised questions, especially since it was expected to be Sidharth Malhotra’s grand theatrical comeback after Shershaah. His last theatrical outings like Yodha didn’t click, and now all eyes are on Param Sundari. On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor is still searching for her first massive box office blockbuster despite regular buzz around her projects.
Delayed Release Impact
The film’s release was postponed from July to August after the surprising success of Saiyaara. This delay may have hurt its momentum. With only the first weekend to prove itself before weekday drops, Param Sundari’s long-term fate depends heavily on word of mouth.
