Bollywood Actress Parineeti Chopra and fiancée AAP MP Raghav Chadha was seen at Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple offering prayers on 26 August
The couple visited Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain on 26 August to take blessings from Shiv Ji. Both of them were seen wearing tradition attire.
The Hasee toh Phasee film actress was seen wearing pink saree and. the couple got engaged on May 13 in a private ceremony which was attended by her cousin sister Priyanka who is now a Hollywood star as well.
Bollywood celebrities' have been seen visiting Mahakaleshwar Temple is year. It seems that a new trend of visiting temples have been going on Bollywood. Previously Actress Sara Ali Khan also visited Mahakaleshwar temple ahead of her film 'Zara Hatke, Zara Bachke'.
Taking Blessings of Mahakaleshwar
It is worth questioning if the celebs actually visit temple for blessing or it is a publicity stunt to woo Hindu public to watch as these types visits generally come before such big events. '
Previously Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and actress Anushka Sharma also visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in May this year.
Another question which arises is the charge of these temples. Mahakaleshwar temple and other Hindu Temples cost a hefty amount of money if the devotees want to get close to the main idol.
For instance, if the devotee wants to do a general Puja in Mahakaleswar temple then it would cost them 100s but if they want to do a Mahamrutyunjay Jaap(1,25 Lakh Jaap) it would cost the a 15000rs.
There are several other Puja's in between these limits. Now it is worth noticing that because of the fee structure, middle class and lower class people will not be able to undertake these puja which would costs them so much and even if they, it will affect their pockets.
It is only particle to question the rationality behind the the cost structure and how does someone's believes and devotion be counted as greater than someone else's in front of the God.
