Popular Punjabi singer-actor Rajvir Jawanda breathed his last at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, after battling for life for almost 12 days. The 35-year-old artist suffered major injuries in a tragic road accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, on September 27, when his motorcycle collided with stray cattle that suddenly appeared on the road.

Critical Condition Since Admission

Doctors revealed that Jawanda’s neurological condition remained critical throughout his treatment. Despite continuous efforts and advanced medical support, his brain activity remained minimal, and there was no significant improvement in his health. He had been on life support since the day of admission.

A resident of Sector 71, Mohali, Jawanda gained immense popularity for songs like Surname, Kamla, Mera Dil, and Sardari. His melodious voice and emotional lyrics resonated deeply with Punjabi audiences. Apart from singing, he also made his mark in Punjabi cinema with roles in movies like Jind Jaan, Mindo Taseeldarni, and Kaka Ji.

Rajvir’s journey in the music world began in 2014 with his debut single Munda Like Me. Interestingly, he once dreamed of becoming a police officer but later chose to pursue his passion for music.
