Punjabi singer Shubh's concert cancelled by Book My Show
Book My Show on Wednesday cancelled Punjabi Singer Shubh's show in India. Book My Show will refund the amount of ticket to everyone. The company took to twitter to announce the cancellation of Shubh's show.
This news came as the Canadian Punjabi singer Shubhneet Singh was facing backlash from India for his upcoming show. In the past Shubh has shared a distorted map on India on his Instagram story. The map did not include J&K and Punjab in India. After this, the Singer was termed as Pro Khalistani. Khalistani movement is a separatist movement which demand a separate country only for Sikhs. Khalistani movement has been connected to a lot of terrorist activities in India and on Indians abroad. The movement is primarily gaining strength in Canada, Australia and united Kingdom where Sikh population has been ever rising and a part of this population supports Khalistani movement.

Shubhneet was scheduled to perform in Mumbai on September 23 and September 25 in Mumbai. He was facing backlash from Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha(BJYM) as photos and videos of the later surfaced internet where they can be seen tearing Shubh's poster.
This development came after twitter users trended the #UninstallBookMyShow asking to cancel Shubh's show. Book My Show responded in cancelling his show. "Singer Shubhneet Singh’s Still Rollin Tour for India stands cancelled. To that end, Book My Show has initiated a complete refund of the ticket amount for all consumers who had purchased tickets for the show. The refund will be reflected within 7-10 working days in the customer's source account of the original transaction." said the ticketing partner.
Previously cricketer Virat Kohli unfollowed the singer and consumer electronic brand BoAt withdrew their sponsorship from the show.

India and Canada's bilateral relations have hit rock bottom with the statement of Canadian PM Trudeau alleging India for being involved in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Nijjar. India retaliated by dismissing the claim and blaming the Canadian government for shifting focus from the Khalistani terrorist issue.
